Western Carolina University

A series of recruitment posters were created for high schools around the country, to inform students that Western Carolina University is an option for their higher education.

Intentionally avoiding what you’d typically expect from a recruitment poster, I created attention-grabbing posters filled with character situations and visuals that are so fun, it’ll be hard for the short-attention spanned high schoolers to forget.

Befudiom

When a new family game about idioms comes to market, it needs that little extra whimsy to stand off the store shelves. Whimsical illustrations, bright colors, cool design? Yep, it’s got it all. It’s the cat’s pajamas and the bees knees all rolled into one pretty awesome package.

Boats For Goats

Boats for Goats is an organization that hosts an annual regatta to raise funds to buy goats for needy families in third world countries. To help promote the event, I whipped up some truly memorable posters, using hand-drawn type, spotlighting the many aspects of the life of a goat.

Jimmy Clean’s

I helped develop a whole new brand personality and identity to capture a new high-end car wash experience. Choosing a fun, engaging, and retro visual look reminiscent of the full-service gas stations of the 50′s, I created “Jimmy Clean”, a quirky illustrated character who shines, buffs and polishes your car to a showroom quality level of clean.

Kidgets

Family Dollar created a new kids brand that would span the entire kid section of the store, from diapers to apparel, and everything in between. I created the logo, packaging, and family of cutesy characters seen on the kidgets products.

ABOUT

Hi. I’m Jason Gammon, illustrative designer and art director at Little Red Bird in Charlotte, NC. I’ve spent the past decade as an illustrative designer, developing brands, logos, magazines, identities, ads, packaging, and every little thing in between. Throughout my career I’ve used my God-given talent to create one-of-a-kind work for my clients. This is what I love to do.

Object Unknown is the beginning of a new adventure, focusing on illustration, and doing work that is fun, creatively fulfilling, and entertaining.

I pride myself in being a child at heart. My goal is to create awesome work that evokes some response, whether it be cool, funny, freaky, scary, gross, etc. Check back here often to see what I’m working on.

I’m always looking for a chance to create. Let me know what I can do for you.

Let’s talk.
